The Administration of Luxor African Film Festival and the Indian embassy in Egypt announced That the great Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan , his wife and daughter apologize to attend the next edition of LAFF, as declared previously in a joint press conference on March 7.
The Great artist has sent a videotaped message to the Luxor African Film Festival apologizing for attendance this edition because of the critical state of health of a close friend and relative (father of actress Aishwarya Rai ; his son’s wife) that led him to entering the intensive care unit recently.
Amitabh has pledged to come to Luxor as soon as possible to attend the opening of The African Cinema Club in Luxor and laid the foundation stone for the new project of the Foundation I-Shabab (young independent artists Foundation) , the world's cultural center (Alam).
the sixth session of the Luxor African Film Festival will be held during the period from 16 to 22 March under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Tourism Promotion Authority and the Ministry of foreign affairs, in cooperation with the cinematic professions syndicate and the governorate of Luxor and under the banners auspices of the National Bank of Egypt (El Ahly)
